#1: Common sense eating: Look, we all pretty much know the good foods from the bad. You know that the mixed greens salad with roasted chicken and a light vinaigrette is healthier for you than that greasy fast food burger. Yet, we always seem to go for the burger.
Start cutting down on the red meat.
Have a salad or fresh veggies with your meals.
Have fruit for desert or as a snack in between.
Above all, stay away from the fried foods.

Stay away from alcohol. And, stay away from coffee, if you can. The reason I say coffee is that people use so many different flavorings and sweeteners without realizing how much fat they are adding to their diets.

#3: Things you need to start doing today: There are things you need to start doing on a daily basis to keep your diet in check.
Keep a journal. I know it can be a pain to do, but, a journal will help you stay focused on your goals.
Keep moving. Staying active will keep your body burning fat. You need to exercise, you can’t get into shape without exercise.
Educate yourself. Learn as much as you can about dieting and nutrition. Learn about proper exercises for losing weight. Educating yourself on proper nutrition and exercise will keep you one step ahead of the game.
Start following these steps for losing weight today. There is no magic pill for losing weight. You need to have a plan of action and stick with it daily.
